Greetings,

I'm a new guy looking for a T37PH. I live in Seattle but frequently travel to most popular US ports.

Any leads/advice would be much appreciated!

Thanks,

Scott

Did you talk to Neil at Pacific Yacht Imnports in Alameda, CA. That is where we bought ours two years ago.

He had one for sale a month or so ago. Don't know if he sold it. He had it on boats.com a couple times. We looked at it just because we always like comparing others to ours which we love.

I think you can get to him at yachtworld.com. I've also seen him in stealth mode on this website.

Good luck

Rob,

The boat in Alameda sold quite quickly. I was just beginning my search so didn't realize the possible value. Where is yours moored??

Rich, Thanks for the links.

Mine is not a pilot house.
Its berthed on the upper Chesapeake in Worton Creek - Maryland Eastern Shore.

Pilot house Ty37s are not very commmon. A ketch rigged PH would be as rare as hens teeth and would probably sell in a nanosecond - to someone who knows Tayanas.

Good luck in your search.

What's that email address again? I tried to email you but it bounced.

Mine at work is robert_mayberry@ffic.com and home, bluetango@idock.com.

If you'd like to come down and sail for a day just let me know. I'd never sailed one before I bought ours and I know that made me a little nervous in spite of everything I'd read.

Good luck!

Bob.

Scott:

I usually see at least 2 or 3 Tayana 37's advertised for sale in the classifieds section of Soundings Magazine. The magazine is now available online at http://www.soundingspub.com and they have a search engine for the boat sales. A quick search for Tayana, Sail 35-38ft gave me 16 hits.

Good luck.

James

We looked at a PH that is in the yard at Westland in Titusville FL. It's on yachtworld - a 1981 named Sea Girt. They are asking $95k. It could be a really great boat, but it is waaaaaaayyyyyyy over priced at 95. Plus, it has some serious issues - most serious of which are springy decks and a delaminated bow sprit that has dry rot and is literally pulling off the bow (you can put your fingers between the underside of the bow sprit and the bow.) So sad to see it sitting there deteriorating. Anyway, she's probably much to far away for your needs. Good luck with your search.
