I have a 88 T42V. Currently my batteries are located in the steering gear compartment (center). I'm thinking of relocating them under the aft. birth. Dose anyone have there batteries located there? Pro's or Con's?

I'm assuming you have a center cockpit? The batteries on the aft cockpit models are under the aft berth already.

It might make a little difference in weight distribution, but you probably won't be able to notice it.

I have an aft cockpit V42 and my house batteries are located under the quarter berth. The starting battery is under the starboard bunk next to the engine.

Thanks for the info Frank. Is there any special ventilation installed?

Dennis,
No special ventilation. No problems without ventilation.
