Hello,
I'm a new member, and have the great of joy to own a Tayana 42 Moonshadow, on the upper Cheaspeak Bay and was interested to see if any others were going to get together this year.

Hi Paul-

Welcome to the world of Tayanas. Where on the Chesapeake is your boat.
A group of us get together in the fall; it's been around Hallowe'en for the past two years. Summers are pretty hot and windless. We have our boat in the West River just south of Annapolis. There used to be a lot of V-42s at the raft-ups (we redesignated them as TIE-UPS - technical information exchanges - in an attempt to get more participants) but we haven't had one at our gatherings in four or five years. Three or four of us T-37 owners have been carrying on the tradition at various locations from Solomons Island to the Corsica River.

If we could do two things, I'd be very glad to participate:

Pick a destination somewhere closer to the middle bay (Solomons maybe?)

Don't schedule it so late in October (interferes with Oyster Festival in Urbanna)

Frank-

MMMM - maybe we should schedule it for Urbanna and partake in the oyster festival. Very Happy

On a serious note, all prognistications aside, we actually believe that we'll get out of the bay to New England yet this summer and return in mid do late Sept. or early Oct. We'll be able to meet about anywhere. For the past couple of years it's been Mistress (Dayton Eckerson's boat now for sale and on the hard), Vacilando (Mike Quirk), Rachel (Mark & Julie Kaynor) and us. The Kaynors are also headed to NE and plan to be back in the fall. They had their boat down near Deltaville....

I'm sure we can come up with something!

We'll be here through next fall, but severely vacation limited until then, so my preference is for something that can be done by us in a three or max. four day weekend.

If it doesn't happen this year, maybe next before we leave for the carib. (hopefully)

Would enjoy making it together for a tie-up. I am located on Middle River, at Maryland Marina. October could be a great time to get together,
I also have friends currently crusing on T37 that plan to be on the bay around this time. any other suggestions on a good anchorage for a few boats.
