Hi all, it's been a great voyage so far, check out our web site at www.sv-machrihanish.com for the details.
we've seen quiet a few 37's in different ports on our way down but didn't have net to inform of where we saw them.
Saw two in Emmeryville, we were there for 12 days, tourist stuff, don't ride the taxi's there, they got no idea where they're goin'!! and don't mind charging you for the senice route!
We're planning on being in Southern California in a few weeks.
the wind vane steering is working great, it's a Flemming, I recommend using ball bearing sheeved blocks, and a very low stretch line. I use a single line that tails to a cam cleat, you can adjust and take out the slack.
Just start on the starboard side of the unit, run the line up into the pendulum sheeve back to the turning block then forward around the wheel drum and back to the port turning block up to the pend sleeve and then back to another turning block then to a cam cleat,
