|I suspect this subjec has been hashed out in previous posts on this site but I figured someone would give me a head start on the appropriate folders on the ftp site.
I have the hots to add solar panels to my boat. Its a 37 pilot house with a nice ss rail around the cockpit (starting near the front of the pilot house( and with a beefy radar arch aft.
I think that if I put my mind to it I can mount as many panels as I need to feed my gizmo addiction. I have 1000 ah of AGM batteries (plus a separate starting battery), glacier bay insulation on the fridge and a passionate obsessoin with turning out lights when I dont need them. But, also like the TV, stereo and DVD player. The HAM rig and computer are also favorites.
Can I really expect to get 30-50% of the rated wattage in amp hours/day out of the kyocera panels that seem to be so popular?
What experience do members of the group have with solar.
Is the new regulator by bluesky as big a benefit as their advertising suggests?
Thanks in advance for your feedback.
